My First Official Wedding

So why official you ask. Let me tell you! The real first one I only got to be at the reception. This one though I was there from start to finish...even at the rehearsal dinner...I was a busy busy girl :-) So I was dressed up as you see but as soon as mommy sat down I got upset so mommy stood up which made me happy...but then everyone stood up for the beautiful bride and I don't know but that upset me also so mommy quickly run out the side door so that the bride doesn't walk down the aisle with the music of my cries...really I think that she would have appreciated it...but mommy didn't think so :-) Mommy offered me to eat but I turned my head away because hunger was not the cause of my fuss...there were lots of people that I didn't know and I was curious I wanted to be able to be held, see everything and yet not be with everyone...a little princess you think :-) YOU ARE RIGHT! (It was great to be with Marie and Marcus on their special day and their celebrations also marked something new in the baby's progress...after she had her last meal of the day she slept in her carseat and when we got home and swaddled, put her to bed and she woke up the next day!!! How awesome it that?)

The Old Ball Game

On Monday we went to the baseball game with our newly wedded friends Donny and April. Funny thing is that we took the best route but we missed a turn and got lost which got us 1/2 late to the game. The game was super fast and we did not even realize how the time went by so after I nursed we went to change her and by the time we were done the game was done!!! We could not believe it....you go to games in daytime and burn in the sun over long run games and when its nice and cool they finish like a breeze. Despite all that it was her first game and we got a mini pink bat to commemorate it and she stayed awake the whole time. It was awesome!!! :-)...got to add...the last pic showcases daddy's first mishap in dressing baby. This is the outfit that should say Don't Laugh Daddy Dressed Me :)

Summer Fun

Gabriela Zoe has been at the pool four times now and every time she is having more and more fun. Her first time was after the conclusion of Marcus' "bachelor" party and then she went with Daddy then with Mommy and then with both of us (the pics are from our latest trip) She is a water girl like her mommy so once she becomes independent we are going to have a ton of fun underwater. share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8AbOWThk2Zt2LT

Musical Streak

A fun fact regarding Gabirela Zoe is how much she loves her yellow trumpet. The disney store had instruments made of cloth and I went ahead and bought the drums, maracas and the trumpet. When I pressed the button on the trumpet she stopped complaining and fell in love. Fun thing is that it works almost every time!!...so it accompanies us at every trip :-) She also really enjoys her time with playing the piano with both her hands and her feet ;-) And she also loves to turn the music pages...I think the black and white does it for her. What can we say she is our little musician.

Growing

Gabriela Zoe now is 16 weeks...amazing how time is going by!!! I do still remember what life was like before we had her but it is kind of fading away. This past week has been one of multiple celebrations. First of all it was Stephen's birthday and then it was our anniversary yesterday. It has been three amazing years. We were remembering how we celebrated last year and little did we know that the same time next year we would have our baby ahhhhh....This year we treated ourselves to a day at the spa with massages. Feeling like royalty alas only lasts for a few hours, but it was worth it.
Back to Gabriela Zoe...she is a busy busy girl she puts everything she can hold with her hands into her mouth and she rolls her lips and spit comes out...once in a while mommy and baby can make a game of it and go back and forth. She loves to be held upright and pretend to walk and I think she has made every single one of the toys in her excerscauser play music...smart little thing. She knows when she is put down to sleep is time for a nap and the protests are minimal to none, she knows when its nightime and sleeps an average of 10 hours a night but most of all she knows mommy and daddy. We are finally getting some reward for our hard work ;-) who would have thought that one little knowing smile would make it even? By the way I didn't actually get to see that but by grandmothers and aunts confirmation Gabriela Zoe sent smiles via internet to her family in a land far far away...
So yeah those are our news so far and we'll try to be more up to date with news.

Mother's Day

We started on Saturday when we went to the women's brunch at our church with momma Karen and the baby...most of the time was spent nursing, from then on I started to bring a bottle to such events. Then we went to celebrate with Grandma Franceen at their house and on Sunday we went to our parents house with the other side of the family. Since we were there we spent the night and had a good time :-) Enjoy the pics

Sleeping on Mommy

After a long Sunday, baby would not sleep in her crip and mommy was a little jealous of seeing her baby asleep in the arms of the nursery caregivers and wanted some too...so it was a perfect opportunity.
